What Glass is Period Correct for my AC Shelby Cobra?

The vast majority of images of original cobras, including images from in period, suggest original Cobras came out of the Thames Ditton factory with clear glass.   

The occasional image has tinted glass but its reasonable to assume that this could be replacement glass.  While a competition windscreen was advertised in period as an option, we have never seen an advert for a tinted screen. 

Tinted sun visors were not standard but a commonly chosen accessory (priced at $19.50 in 1964!) and seem to have been the answer in period for drivers wanting to avoid glare.

These days glass is also available in a green tint, as well as a heated version for those wanting a UK IVA solution. 

All are currently marked to meet all applicable European and American glass standards for use on the road.
