Replacing AC Shelby Cobra windscreen glass

Should you get a stone chip or crack, replacing the glass on your OE Spec is a job that can be done by a competent DIY car builder.

Replacement screens with your choice of clear of tinted glass are available, or you can take the opportunity to upgrade your glass to a heated cobra windscreen.  The kit comes with the glass and a replacement gasket.

A major difference with OE Spec cobra windshields is the gasket.  More traditional AC cobra windscreens use a flat piece of rubber, bent around the glass and then trimmed once the frame is installed.  This is very difficult to bend around the top corners and requires you to take a knife to your newly rebuilt screen!

OE Spec cobra screens are very carefully made so that the frame fits the glass closely enough that a moulded gasket can be used instead.   This is simply placed on the glass and then the frame pressed into place.
