Understanding your AC Shelby Cobra windshield glass markings.

OE Spec Cobra windscreens use Lamishield windshield glass.  This glass makes our screens suitable for use in a wide variety of countries, but what do all the markings mean?

The first line gives the manufacturer name, Lamishield for OE Spec Cobra windscreens.

Next comes the all important compliance information.  For Europe, the screens can be type approved in one member state then sold in any other.  The number denotes the country.  For OE Spec cobra screens, they are marked as E4 43R, which denotes a Netherlands type approval.   The UKs regulations for screens are still aligned and accept this approval.

For America, AS1 denotes an American Standard approved screen.  DOT825 certifies the screen meets American requirements with the 825 being the identifier for the company Lamishield meaning OE Spec cobra windshields are suited for use in American cobras.
