At Last, a Properly Made Original Style Shelby Cobra Expansion Tank

Finding an expansion tank for your FE powered Shelby Cobra has often been a struggle. 

Reproduction ones are only sporadically available, and can still leak, or you can take the gamble of buying an original 60 year old tank and having it rebuilt to rotate the outlet through 180 degrees to match and original Cobra expansion tank.

You still have the problem of whether it will fit under the low Cobra hood and the issues a brazed and painted brass tank brings.

OE Spec + Cobra header tanks have been designed and manufactured from scratch to solve these problems whilst looking just like an original.

The tanks are made from 304L grade stainless steel and are specifically designed for Cobras.  The outlet is on the correct side and the whole tank has been lowered by an inch to give you hood clearance.  

The assembly is laser welded on a jig and pressure tested so you know its going to last and not leak.  

Each tank is properly prepared and then polyester powder coated in satin black.  Looks like the original but the finish is far more durable.

Optionally we can weld into place a 3/8" inlet as seen as many tanks fitted to original Cobras to connect a radiator air bleed line.

Supplied from stock, with a 13 Psi radiator cap, gasket and even mounting bolts.
